How to Make Your Computer Faster - The Easiest Ways to Fix a Computer Running Slow

No matter how fast your new computer might be, it will get slower over time without maintenance. And then, how to make your computer faster will be a big Problem to you? But in fact, it's very easy to deal with it by just some clicks. Here are the reasons why it become slower and the easiest ways to fix computer running slow:

Reason 1: Too many useless applications start with the system. So you'd better disable them right now!

1. Configure boot of Winodws XP
1.1 Click "Start", point to "Run" and click.
1.2 Input "msconfig" in the pop-up box.
1.3 On the "Startup" tab check Disable All
1.4 On the "Services" tab click the "Hide All Microsoft Service box" and then click "Disable All".
1.5 Press on "Restart".

This way will disable all non-system startup sevices and applications. If you want to run some of them in the background such as anti virus software, just check it out.

Reason 2: lots of fonts be loaded during the boot-up process. In my opinion, you probably only use several of them. So you can move the others into another folder.

2. Clean up the fonts' folder
2.1 Right clicking on "Desktop" and point to "New" to create a New Folder.
2.2 Open "Fonts" in "Control Panel". (if you can not find it, switch to "Classic View" to find them easier.)
2.3 Highlight a group of fonts younever use.
2.4 Cut off them to the folder you just created.
2.5 Restart your pc.
